Our Experience testing Radon in Northern New Mexico:
PIE has performed over 1500 radon inspections in Santa Fe and the surrounding areas. All our radon tests are performed with continuous radon monitors. The monitors contain microprocessors which print hourly radon readings for the entire test period and calculate the EPA protocol average immediately upon completion of the test. This eliminates mailing test devices to a laboratory and waiting for test results. Based on our extensive experience, PIE can provide information about the areas where radon levels are typically high, interpret results, and advise on decisions regarding mitigation and other alternatives where needed.

concentrations higher than 4 pCi/L.

The U.S. Surgeon General, Richard Carmona, Issues National Health Advisory on Radon
(January 13, 2005) The Surgeon General of the United States has issued a Health Advisory warning Americans about the health risk from exposure to radon in indoor air. The Nation's Chief Physician urged Americans to test their homes to find out how much radon they might be breathing. Dr. Carmona also stressed the need to remedy the problem as soon as possible when the radon level is 4 pCi/L or more.
